Mobile marketing benefits brands and retailers as customers invest a significant portion of time on their phone and always have it with them. Marketing to consumers' mobile devices will increase customer engagement, strengthen brand awareness, and drive traffic to your store or mobile website.
The QR code (quick-response code) is one form of mobile marketing. Customers will scan a QR code to find out more about your business.
How does a QR code work?
Create a QR code and place it where your customers will see it. A mobile application reads the QR code and takes them to a mobile web page where they discover more about your brand, product or retail store. This is an effective way to engage customers by providing them valuable information.
Magazine ads are a common place for QR codes. However, they can be anywhere your customers might be. Some more creative places are window shops, clothing tags, or in-store signs. How about a coffee cup?
SMS/MMS campaign is another mobile marketing channel. Skycore's campaign management system allows you to choose SMS keywords that customers text you in order to receive certain information back or mobile coupons and offers. Provide a call-to-action with your keywords in your store, crm or advertising to increase customer engagement.
Mobile ads are placed within 3rd party mobile apps and webpages. In addition to QR codes and SMS keywords, mobile ads are another way to engage potential customers. The ads increase brand awareness and can drive traffic to your mobile website. The customer clicks the ad and is taken to a your landing page or mobile website. You can create landing pages and mobile websites through Skycore's mobile web tools.
Create lists of email and SMS subscribers. These are the people who opt-in to receive messages from you. You can upload files with existing customer numbers and email addresses if they have given consent. Using the landing page builder you can design mobile web pages with email or phone number sign-up forms.
You can communicate with your opt-in subscribers by sending offers and coupons to their phones. Mobile vouchers are convenient for both you and your customers because there are no printing hassles. They also enable the customers to purchase your product or service on the go. You can create a VIP program to reward customers.
How do you deliver these offers? Send them through email or SMS. Within the email or SMS, provide links to landing pages that you have created. On these pages, customers can purchase your offers.
Also, take customers to the same landing page after they scan a QR code in your store or place a link to your landing page within a mobile ad. These mobile marketing efforts will increase the visibility of your offer.
Build a survey and Have your customers scan QR codes to take it. They will be directed to a landing page you've created to fill out the survey on their mobile phone. You can also send the link to the survey in email or SMS.
Why surveys? These surveys give you valuable insight into your customers' experience and further engage them with your brand. They provide another chance for customers to interact with you beyond their in-store experience. Also, the data helps you discover customers' preferences and shopping experiences, which is helpful in improving your business.
